Peter came over and then stated that the living room floor would now be an additional $500, if we wanted quarter round because they didn't realize the wall behind baseboards were not finished and this would affect estimate.
Isn't this something a professional should know? This was the second of many red flags. We started to get concerned when Peter started to add a multitude of charges for items that we had wanted prior to signing the contract. Peter gave use the estimate of $2600 for floor in the living room for everything. He talked us into putting wood down against our better judgement as we have large dogs and we were concerned about the flooring getting scrated up. Peter reassured us that the dogs wouldn't scratch the floor and would have to be digging to scratch it. We went to floor and decor based his "professional" advise and picked out a few samples and showed him and again he reassured us it wouldn't get scratched by the dogs.
In hindsight this couldn't be farther from the truth, we spoke to many flooring salesmen and were told there was no wood flooring that could withstand 50+ pound dogs. The bamboo floor that was put down was destroyed within the first month. I will post pictures of the floor here to illustrate how Peter's recommendations work out.Previous | Continue..... |
